Position: SENIOR MANAGER IS U142 - MIS
THE ROLE:
• Provide high-level expertise for a software application or strategic initiative of value. Act as primary contact point for at least one major application, with responsibility for the maintenance, monitoring and support of the area. • Provide work direction, task prioritization, supervision, assistance and career skill development to assigned staff. • Work with staff to set appropriate goals and objectives. Develop and deliver staff in a timely manner. • Manage IS project teams and consultants on major initiatives. • Participate in the creation of strategic system plans and roadmaps for system acquisition and development. Work with business to understand their needs and priorities. Align team workload and projects. • Work with other teams in IS to optimize system performance and integration. • Assist with continuous improvement of IS and IS Global IT standards for application development.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years experience in system development within a regulated industry environment of which 2+ years were in a principal or project lead role. • Demonstrated knowledge of the principles and best practices of system development. • Flexibility and the ability to handle multiple responsibilities. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Demonstrated team leadership ability. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • BS/MS/MBA/PhD or equivalent.
